As most of our readers know, the Society’s 1810 barn was destroyed during the November 2014 snowstorm. Since replacing the barn with a barn of like kind and quality was not feasible, the Society decided to build a pavilion on the site where the barn stood. The pavilion was completed this past June. It will be used throughout the year for holding outdoor events such as the chicken barbecue and group picnics. Also, many of the artifacts from the barn that were salvaged will be put on display in the pavilion. The Society would especially like to thank Board member Jerry Schmidt for all of his hard work in making the pavilion a reality.
