Museum Campus Damaged by Tornado

Three days before our annual Chicken barbeque on Thursday, July 20th, the museum sustained significant tree damage due to the recent tornado.  Two very large trees were uprooted, one barely missing our newly reconstructed outhouse and the other putting a large hole in the roof of the Spittler Barn.  We were very lucky to have not had more damage.  Town Historian Jim Baker and Board member Pete Brown were in the building when the storm blew by and both can attest to the storm's intensity.  Thanks to crews from the town who cleaned up the mess, we were still ready for the Barbecue on Sunday
